Several years ago Metal Container and Sort Pro started a partnership that would change the way we look at separator sheets. Metal Container Corporation uses Typar, a woven material that is very flexible and at the same time is very expensive, especially with the quality standards that we have. Many years ago we had the policy that dusty Typar was scrapped, and we scrapped an average of 2.5 to 3 million dollars worth of Typar per year. Thanks to Sort Pro we stopped the practice of scrapping Typar and the savings have been tremendous for Metal Container. Our pilot location was Jacksonville, FL where we sent all the Typar that was supposed to be scrapped with the old standards. For every truckload that we received from other sorting locations we were recovering a minimum of 80% of the sheets once we ran them though the cleaning machine. Anheuser Busch was so impressed with the performance of the equipment that now it is a requirement for all our sorting locations to clean at least 50% of all incoming sheets. As I mentioned earlier the savings to Metal Container have been in the millions of dollars, for pennies we can recover sheets that are $3.00 each.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance in the promotion of Sort Pro.
